Hobart and surrounds. Back in the
late seventies and early eighties, when every Tasmanian seat was Liberal-held
(today they're all Labor), the member for Denison was "The Mouth
from the South", Michael Hodgeman. Like fellow Tasmanian Bruce Goodluck
in Franklin, he was one of politics' "characters"
(or "clowns', depending on your viewpoint). Hodgeman lost to Kerr
in 1987.
