Eden-Monaro's record of picking winners isn't as impressive as Macarthur's, but it has gone to whoever formed government at every election since 1972.

Appropriately, with a margin of 1.7 percent, it is what Malcolm Mackerras calls the "point of pendulum" seat - the uniform swing required to change government.
